Buffalo wings, chicken wings, hot wings; no matter what you call them they are easy to make and can please the hungry. While being a primitive food that involves tearing flesh from bone, many will agree that hot wings are some of the finer eats available (if not the finest).
And, to the luck of amateur lazy chefs everywhere they are easier than pancakes to put together. Basically, the golden triad of hot wings are chicken, Franks Red Hot, and butter.
Ingredients
- Chicken Wings (or if you want to go crazy, DRUMSTICKS)
- Franks Red Hot Sauce (big bottle)
- ½ stick melted butter
- Lime
Preparation
First we want to preheat our oven to 375. In a medium bowl we want to combine our franks red hot, melted butter, and lime. Then with our chicken in a larger bowl we want to toss in the sauce, making sure all our chicken gets covered. Then we let that marinade while we wait for our oven to heat up.
Once our oven is hot we want to transfer the wings and extra sauce into a cooking pan. We bake for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes we pull them out and apply another thick layer of just franks red hot. Then we broil for 2 minutes to give our wings a crispy crust and to thicken our hotsauce.
Let cool and serve with ranch!
